Shamrock and Roll

As the lead organizer of Kappa Delta's annual Shamrock and Roll event, I took on the challenge of planning and executing a large-scale fundraiser that raised over $20,000 for child abuse prevention. This event required months of meticulous preparation, including securing venues, coordinating with vendors, organizing entertainment, and managing a budget. I oversaw every detail to ensure the event was a success, from promoting it to the community to creating a seamless day-of experience. The event featured dancing, food, and live entertainment, and supported the impactful work of Prevent Child Abuse America and Promises2Kids. This experience honed my ability to manage complex logistics, lead a team, and deliver a meaningful, memorable event.

I managed every aspect of the event, from securing vendors and entertainment to overseeing logistics and coordinating with volunteers. I also handled event marketing and outreach, driving community engagement and ensuring a high turnout. This hands-on experience helped me refine my skills in event planning, budget management, and team coordination, while contributing to a cause I’m deeply passionate about.
